Mumbai : Anant Tyagi is a name very well known in the sports arena. From cricket to football, Anant has seen it and done it all. He gave up his career in communication management in London to pursue his dream that is sports anchoring. He is currently hosting the FIFA world cup. His passion for sports and football in particular is evident in the way he presents and it can be fairly said that the likes of Wayne Rooney and Sol Campbell have a very healthy conversation during the show with an Indian presenter. He has introduced the players in this world cup and some of the names include Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luka Modric and Kylian Mbappe. The FIFA world cup is at its final juncture and it’s due for its fair share in history as it might be the last time that Lionel Messi dons the Argentinian colors.

The world cup glory is due for him and who better than Anant Tyagi to present it. Do we know the guestlist on the panel? Wait please. It’s non other than Shah Rukh Khan who would be talking to absolute stalwarts such as Sol Campbell, Wayne Rooney and more alongwith Anant Tyagi. Anant truly has come a long way since his initial days as a sports presenter in 2013.

We spoke to him and here is what he says, “It’s been a truly surreal experience hosting my first ever World Cup. Having covered more than 500 games in Indian Football and the Indian Super League as a commentator and presenter, it was time for a new challenge and thankfully Viacom – 18 came calling at the perfect time. When the panel of experts was confirmed, I could hardly believe myself. But that’s what they say about great athletes. They never make you feel a stranger around them and that was my first impression while meeting the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robert Pires, Luis Figo, Sol Campbell and Gilberto Silva. They were so encouraging, so welcoming with an unbelievably easy going vibe about them. Truly privileged to have spent the last month with them. We even had DJ Snake join us once straight after one of his gigs in Mumbai because he wanted to be part of our panel to celebrate France making it to the knockouts.”

We are all excited about the prospect and we cant contain ourselves too. Way to go Anant.
