IICT Signs MoUs with Rising AVGCXR & Media Association (RAMA Rajasthan) and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), Convenes FICCI Roundtable on Union Budget 2026 AVGC XR Implementation

New Delhi News : The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) reinforced its leadership in India’s AVGC XR ecosystem by convening a high level industry roundtable in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), alongside formalizing key Memorandums of Understanding with Rising AVGCXR & Media Association and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge to accelerate skilling, innovation, and nationwide ecosystem development.

As part of the inaugural session of the AVGC XR Knowledge Series, IICT hosted the FICCI Roundtable on the AVGC XR sector at its Mumbai campus, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, and ecosystem stakeholders. The discussions focused on translating the Union Budget 2026 announcements into actionable implementation frameworks, particularly around the rollout of Content Creator Labs, capacity building, and strengthening India’s position as a global hub for creative technologies.

The roundtable deliberations emphasized the need for structured talent pipelines, industry led training models, and institutional mechanisms such as Model Training Centres and the IICT hub and spoke model for nationwide skill dissemination.

The session also contributed towards shaping a comprehensive industry white paper to be submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, outlining policy recommendations and implementation roadmaps.

In parallel, IICT signed strategic MoUs to expand its collaborative footprint across key states. The partnership with Rising AVGCXR & Media Association focuses on strengthening education, skilling, research, and incubation in Rajasthan, with RAMA Rajasthan serving as a preferred implementation partner for deploying Creator Labs across schools and colleges, along with supporting curriculum development, faculty training, and industry integration.

Additionally, IICT’s collaboration with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge aims to advance similar objectives in Telangana through knowledge exchange, faculty development, incubation support, and research in emerging domains such as virtual production, real time technologies, AI in creative pipelines, and immersive media.

Both partnerships are designed to create a robust and scalable ecosystem by integrating academia, industry, and government stakeholders, while fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and job ready talent across the AVGC XR value chain.

Ashish Kulkarni, Founding Director, IICT, said, “The AVGC XR sector is at an inflection point, and it is critical that we build strong bridges between industry, academia, and government to unlock its full potential. Through IICT’s partnerships with RAMA Rajasthan and TASK, we are focused on creating scalable models for skilling, fostering entrepreneurship, and enabling innovation across emerging creative technologies. The FICCI roundtable has further helped align stakeholders towards a common vision of making India a global powerhouse in content creation and digital storytelling.”

Dr. Vishwas Deoskar, Chief Executive Officer, IICT, said, “India stands at a defining moment in the evolution of its AVGC XR sector, with the Union Budget 2026 providing a strong policy foundation for growth. At IICT, we are committed to translating this vision into on ground impact through initiatives such as Content Creator Labs, national skilling frameworks, and strategic partnerships across states. Our collaborations with RAMA Rajasthan and TASK, along with the insights emerging from the FICCI roundtable, will play a critical role in building a future ready talent ecosystem, fostering innovation, and positioning India as a global leader in creative and digital content.”
