New Delhi, 22nd September 2020 :  This year the delay in NEET and JEE Examination became the big issues in India and finally after being postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 was held on 13th September 2020. The exam was conducted with all the social distancing norms, sanitization precautions and the SOP’s given by the Health Ministry. Around 15.9 lakh students appeared in the NEET Examination. The students who want to pursue an undergraduate course will be shortlisted based on the NEET 2020 cutoff. As seen by the reaction of students and teachers, the NEET 2020 paper was easy and not lengthy as compared to previous years. Around this Covid-19 situation, the NEET exam dates got delayed twice and created confusion and worrisome situation for the students but the good part was that students got much enough time in this lockdown to prepare for the examination and due to that, it was expected that students will have a tough competition this year.

After analyzing the question paper of NEET 2020 it’s seen that the examination was moderate. The physics section which was way too tough in the previous year was really easy this year but the chemistry and biology section came up with some tricky questions. The questions were mostly drafted from the NCERT books, which is good for all the students. The cutoff of the NEET 2020 examination is released and this year it’s a big relief for all the students, the reserved category has cut off of 40th percentile which is 120-100 cut off and the general category has 50th percentile which is 710-140 expected cut off. This year the competition was much high than expected as all the students were toughly prepared for the examination during the lockdown.

Geeta Jain, Founder of Mediconation said; “The NEET Examination has finally come to an end, after all the confusion and delay in NEET examination. Conducting the NEET examination was a big task for all the authorities, the government, parents, and students. With all the precautionary measures kept in mind around 85-90% of the students registered and appeared for the examination. When students came out of the center the look was enough saying how good and easy the paper was. It was majorly covering the NCERT books and no doubt that this year NEET cut off will be the big solace for the students. The official answer key will be released officially in some days but the students who score above the NEET cut off 2020 percentile become eligible to participate in the NEET admission process. The counseling of NEET 2020 will start after the results will be announced and it will be online mode. This expected analysis of question paper and cut off can even help the students to evaluate themselves according to their performance and can also make a list of colleges of MBBS and MD.
