Satish Kaushik’s Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti felicitated at the 67th National Film Awards

Mumbai News, 28 Oct 2021: After announcing the winners of the 67th National Film Awards on March 22 this year, the in-person award ceremony took place this morning where the winners were all felicitated by the Indian Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu. After facing a delay from last year due to the Covid pandemic, this edition of the National Film awards honoured the best work across Indian cinema from the year 2019.

Amongst the winners, that includes the likes of Manoj Bajpayee, Kangana Ranaut and Rajinikanth, actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik also received a National award for his Haryanvi film, Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti. The film was adjudged as the Best film in Haryanvi Language and Satish Kaushik himself, along with director Rajesh Amarlal Babbar, was present at the ceremony to receive the prestigious acclaim.

Satish Kaushik took to his Instagram account to share the glimpse of the award that he received for the film, that includes a certificate along with a medal. He wrote, “National Award .. Our film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti won the Best Film In Haryanvi Language. Congrats to the team,” wishing the entire film’s team on the win.

Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti starred Satish Kaushik, Rashmi Somvanshi, Annirudh Dave, Mohan Kant, Prakash Ghai and Gautam Saugat. It depicted the story of a girl’s struggle to receive education and become an IPS Officer, that she aspires to be. The film showed Binita’s journey, played by Rashmi, who faces opposition from her father who believes that girls are meant for household work only. However, she fights all odds against her to prove him wrong by achieving her dream and joining the prestigious IPS.
