Faridabad News, 27 July 2020 : DAV Centenary College, NIT 3, Faridabad, organised an online session on Course ki Charcha on Career Path: Counselling and Admissions to make students informed about various courses and admission procedure under the patronage of the Officiating Principal Dr. Savita Bhagat. The program got started at 11 am headed by Dr. Ankur Aggarwal, HOD, Department of Science. Dr. Savita Bhagat extended a warm welcome to all the students and parents and stated the meaning and history of D.A.V. College. The College is based on the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and she also told everyone the full form of DAV i.e. Dayanand Anglo Vedic. She also stated the significance of adding Anglo to Dayanand as the purpose behind is to cherish ancient Vedic culture associated with modern theories and vistas. She also expressed that she is missing the hullaballoo, commotion and the inquisitiveness of students and parents. Then she presented the basic details of the college regarding infrastructure, computer labs, playgrounds, Yoga Hall, and the dedicated faculty. DAV Centenary College is the best college of Haryana with ever increasing merits and pass percentage. The college indulges students in co-curricular activities to balance the emotional and spiritual quotient of the students. At the end she focused on choosing a right path and opting the course wisely.
On this occasion the overall coordinator of the SFS Departments Dr. Archana Bhatia welcomed the students and parents and expressed her views why to choose DAV. The college is Grade ‘A’ college with gold-medallist faculty members inculcating Sanskaras in their students. She advised the students to choose the course wisely and patiently. Then the faculty of B.Com.(SFS) had been introduced to everyone and the Coordinator of B.Com.(SFS) addressed the students about various courses in the college like B.Com. (Hons.), B.Com.(TPP) and B.Com.(Computer Application). Then the Dean of the B.Com.(SFS) Lalita Dhingra addressed the students and informed the difference of various courses and the number of seats and the fee structure of the respective course.
On this occasion Mr. Ravi Kumar, HOD, B.Com.(SFS) introduced the students with efficient faculty and shared his past experience as he himself is the alumni of this college. He stated the admission procedure step by step and then introduced the alumni of the college Mr. Anoop Modi who talked about the intelligence and hard work of students. This online session was being put live on the Facebook page of the college in which more than 500 students took participate and got benefitted. The formal vote of thanks was given by Ms. Ankita Mohindra. Question-answer session was very well moderated by Dr. Ankur Aggarwal. The session was well organized by pacifying the queries of the students. With the cooperation of all, the program was made a success.
