Mumbai News, August 27, 2021: Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, in association with Orchid International School launched a mega vaccination drive on August 26. The drive—Let’s Live Again, aims to vaccinate over two lakh residents at 10 centres spread across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.

As a part of the drive, Nanavati Max Hospital has transformed prominent branches of Orchids International School and several community centres into well-equipped vaccination centres with the support of civic and health authorities from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Beneficiaries can opt for either COVISHIELD or COVAXIN vaccine at centres.

Nanavati Max Hospital is already amongst Maharashtra’s largest private vaccinators with over 7 lakh beneficiaries across 500 locations.

Explaining the thought behind the move, Mangla Dembi, Senior Vice President and Head at Nanavati Max Hospital said, “Universal access to timely vaccination is critical to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s Live Again—launched under the guidance of civic and health authorities, will allow safe and effective vaccination experience for all. As WHO says, it’s not the vaccine that will stop the pandemic, it’s vaccination. Mass vaccination drives, implemented with necessary safety protocols are crucial to control the transmission of COVID-19.”

While speaking about the initiative Dr. Rajeev Singh, Head, Academic Implementation, Orchids The International School said, “Stopping this pandemic will take everyone doing their part. Public private partnership, researchers, manufacturers, governments, public distribution system, health workers, have done their part well and now it’s our turn to contribute for our own good. Getting vaccinated is one of the most important ways to help stop this pandemic, but we still need to make sure we’re taking other precautions, like wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.”
