Mumbai News, 17 feb 2021 : Preeti Gupta is a Mumbai and New York-based actor, director, and acting coach. Her work in the American independent films ”A New Christmas’, ‘PROOF’, and ‘Unfreedom’ as a lead actress has won her a lot of acclaimed awards worldwide. All her films have been awarded and recognized in film festivals in India, America, Europe, and Australia. She has been a regular on both Mumbai and NYC stage, performing lead roles. Preeti has studied the Strasberg Method in The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York under Geoffrey Horne and Robert Ellerman and has been a directing student of Geoffrey’s as well.
Preeti Gupta has also made her own mark in the Indian cinema industry working on the small screens to 70 mm she has always proved her acting to the audience and got lots of recognition. She has done Tv serials like ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’, Ajeeb Dastan’, and the film like ‘Paheli’ and many more which has gattered many attention towards her acting. Recently she had Co-directed the web series “Crashh” which is already out and streaming on Alt Balaji and Zee5. The series is critically acclaimed and topping the chart.
Now Preeti is in Mumbai and from 21st to 25th of February 2021 she will be conducting an acting workshop, which she had posted on her social media.

Recently, Preeti was praised for training the entire star cast of the series “Crashh” including Aditi Sharma, Anushka Sen, Rohan Mehra, Producer Ekta Kapoor and Director Kushal Zaveri. Apart from Co-director Preeti was also associated as an acting coach in the series “Crashh”.
About the workshop, Preeti Gupta said, “METHOD ACTING, There are so many myths about this. Everyone has heard about it. Everyone is curious and many think it’s about gaining or losing weight like they see some actors do. It’s NOT. It’s one of the most wonderful systems of tools and techniques. Something I’ve trained in for many years in New York. Something I swear by. It works. If you care about being truthful on camera or on stage.”
Preeti is a faculty for advanced acting in Actor Technique in NY. She feels passionate about teaching the method in India when she can and all her students swear by the effectiveness of her classes. Many are working in top-rated shows and movies.
